We left Springfield and on the way, stopped and took a photo of Abe Lincoln's house. We also took shots of Shea's garage which is a bit famous for the metal plaques and old petrol pumps outside - unfortunately, it was closed at the time.

... 66 along the right hand side of the highway. We're not too sure how we actually get on Route 66 at this point and take the next exit a few miles down the road. We jump on the old road of Route 66 although at each Interstate interchange, we have to Stop at the Stop signs... its a bit annoying.
After about 20 minutes, there is a sign on the side of the road saying "Pavement Ends". Cindy and I both agree this must mean the footpath/sidewalk.
