Merci, bonsoir.
We woke up early and went out 6 mies west of Amarillo to see Cadillac ranch, a man stuck 10 Cadillacs in ground in a farm field. People spray paint them every color of the rainbow wth spray paint. One car had Susan painted on so Susie the graffiti artist wrote our names and our anv date on the car.
We stopped at a museum called the Panhandle plains museum. It has a lot of ...
... doing for 9 years with a different theme each year.
This year was a tribute to 4-H kids. Some of the lines were 500 feet long, you could get in dead ends that were hundreds of feet long. The corn was 8 foot tall. They had a giant side and I was big kid and slide down it. They said it was largest one in Oklahoma the maze.
For supper we stopped at Big texas steak house for supper. They sell a 72 ounce steak for $72 if you eat it, its yours for free. Susie and I ...
... in service centers during our first year of ownership with this coach. That should be enough to keep him from pulling out the 'ole checkbook!
But, Ken says he gets to shop for coaches none the less. Some friends of ours our looking for a coach and he is keeping an 'eye' out. He says he gets to shop by proxy because technically its going to be someone else's money.n Hhhhhmmmmmmmm, sounds fishy to me.
... timing!

We would definately recommend a visit to both if you should ever find yourself in this part of Texas..
... to go to "Midnight Rodeo"; it was closed so we found the Cactus Bar, a true local western bar. We were very lucky we found Dyer's Barbecue for dinner. It is one of the Top 100 Texas Treasures (it even had the two Bush Presidents' pictures on the wall). Great barbecue ribs and beef barbecue with small sides of potato salad, cole slaw, onion rings, baked beans, raw onions, and Texas toast (yes, all of them). Not a time to worry about calories. Delicious!
Amarillo, Texas, United States lstoneham... from the early 1900's to the present. We have a new number 1 BBQ restaurant, Smitty's market. No need to explain; it is the best, hands down. It was worth the trip, and will be worth the next. Go there, seriously. Our destination today is Amarillo, TX, more a stopping point than anything else, but we do have a place in mind for lunch tomorrow, which sadly will most likely be our last actual BBQ restaurant......tragic ...
Amarillo, Texas, United States leoj89... we left Navajo territory and went onto "standard" Arizona time, for all of 11 miles, before crossing into Utah and onto "Mountain Time" proper. Confused? We were! It took a couple of days before we were convinced that we had our watches set correctly!)
The scenery didn't change much for the first few miles of Texas, lots more agricultural land. As we approached the town of Hereford it became more built up with some very nice houses indeed. Unlike the houses ...
... a deeply moving experience which we would recommend to every visitor in Oklahoma City. After leaving Oklahoma City we headed south-west towards Indian City in Anadarko. We took a short trip there to see some traditional Indian culture. It was kind of interesting, but not very spectacular. Two hours later we headed back towards I-40 to cross the border with Texas. Landscape has changed ...
Amarillo, Texas, United States lenarcikA day in the car traveling thru endless flat scrub which got worse when we got into Texas - endless land and only a very few cattle - it was all so boring can't even remember where we had lunch. Just before Amarillo we passed by a place called Bushland - but didn't stop. We also passed a place where there were 6 Cadillacs half-buried nose first - but I'm not sure if this is the original or a copy (update>> apparantly it is the original - it's ...
