It was our intent to visit New Mexico Space museum. We even drove there, but once in the parking lot we lost interest. Instead we stopped at a thrift store and soon thereafter started our drive north on Hi 25. Along the way we stopped at the City of Dona Ana (don't know how to place the tilde on the n). Around 1pm I was pretty hungry but Jack kept passing all the restaurants I wanted. I was craving Mexican food. Finally we made it to Sophia's restaurant in Socorro. It was delicious and worth ...

So decision – backtrack 50+ miles or keep on going and say no more of my incompetence? The latter! I stayed on US60 ...

Podle informační cedule má mít přes 6000 obyvatel, ale podle vybydlených domů a zavřených obchodů nám není jasný, kde by asi žili. Tahle díra připomíná slumy z hororových filmů nebo ...
Magdalena, New Mexico, United States r-e-mTook it easy today in New Mexico. I let the girls sleep late, and then we went in search of the internet to Socorro, about 20 miles away. It's pretty country here, and we're staying in a lovely Adobe home up in the hills.
Tomorrow we're up early and off to Colorado near Aspen to stay with cousin Carl & his family.
... darkness. The girls clung together and gasped as they could not see their hands in front of their faces.
After the guided tour, we went on to tour the Big Room. This self-guided tour took us on a 2 mile trail through the cave. We learned much by listening to our audio tour wands, and stopped at 50 marked points throughout the cave to hear about how the caves and formations were formed and many other interesting facts about the history and future of the ...

Actually, maybe it was from that comment that we started talking about religion and his conversion. I thought that was a strange coincidence. Supper over we drive back to the campground. Art had driven his truck. We chatted, sitting in his truck for at least a couple more hours. During this time we talk about B.W and his having sold the ranch last ...

I had to go back to the VLA to visit the gift shop as it was closed today, the day I'm writing this entry for, when I got there to do my tour. As I'm driving there I get the bright idea that another of the reasons I had to stop at the campground I'm at is because the owner of the property, sold last year, his ...

Hastily getting dressed, we downed our tea, grabbed coats and quietly went to get into Toad. Unfortunately that is as far as we got - poor Toad had a puncture! It was with a mixture of disappointment, exasperation and yet relief that we snuggled down under the bedcovers once more. We would try again tomorrow. In the mean time were wowed ...

But consider this; the average household income is just $23,000... not a lot is it? Throughout our travels we have been rather amused at the various claims to fame that we have come across...'the world's largest, the world's tallest' etc. So when we saw a hoarding boasting of the "World famous Green Chilli Burgers" it was too great ...
