This morning we took our time loading up the rest of our things in the RV, even took a short bike ride to clear our heads a bit. Headed out around 2pm, stopped at Cabela's and Lowes and then arrived at Twin Grove in time to build the campfire and settle into our new normal on the road. Outside of the pictures I've taken, there doesn't appear to be much left of Centralia. All of the abandoned homes have been demolished, the paved streets are slowly being taken over by undergrowth. Unfortunately the most prominent thing you'll see is trash and litter from inconsiderate visitors.

Day Two of the trip but Day One w/ air conditioning! Thank you, Butch!, the best damn RV mechanic we've ever known. Travelled through VA, West-By-God VA, Maryland and into PA. Stopped for night at an RV park in Jonestown, (near Hershey). Decided to have one EOV for each state we passed through. Working on that right now. Hope there's enough wine. Rig runs beautifully but goes through diesel fuel like a drunken sailor. Getting less than 8 mpg now, but I guess when you factor in ...

I can't believe we've already finished our last full day here at Albright. It's all gone by so fast. I'm leaving TOMORROW, and it still doesn't feel totally real. Today was another mix of rehearsals and free time, the main difference being that we had our dress rehearsal right after lunch. Dolores was the daughter of the second wife, Martha Ryder, a nurse who Papa Carlson had met in the early 1920s while my mother was in the hospital.
