I arrived in Montana, after 4 years, on October 8th. I left Oklahoma with a lot of question marks, things that had been buried deep and had resurfaced during my recovery in Kentucky. Had I made the right choice to drop out of college, leaving behind my wildlife biologist degree? Was I ready to move back to the states and my old love Montana? Where my travels a lost cause, only a form of running from things I really wanted in life? ...

By recommendation from our camping neighbor in Missoula, we made reservations at the Flathead Lake KOA in Polson, Montana. On the way we stopped at the St Ignatius Mission. The Mission is part of the Flathead Indian Reservation. The outside of the mission is interesting but the inside is beautiful. The mission was built in 1891. The ceiling and walls are covered in murals painted by one of the brothers after the mission was built. The ...

We planned to visit Flathead Lake in Polson, Montana. It's roughly 60 miles north from our campground. We will also be moving to the Polson KOA on Sunday. The drive to Polson is pretty. It is mostly a rural area with several small towns along the way. The lake is large and right in the center ...

Back at the house, the kids spent the remainder of the late afternoon watching a movie in the built-in 7 seat movie theater on the bottom floor of the house. The theatre was equipped with leather reclining chairs, surround sound, large projection screen etc.....They would have spent all day in there if we had let them. Then we had the most exquisite Mexican Dinner with ...

... drive. Unfortunately, the skies were overcast and we even had some rain (the rain came after Mark washed the car of course). During most of the trip we were traveling through the Flathead Indian Reservation, home of the Salish and Kootenai tribes. The reservation is 1.3 million acres. We stopped in St. Ignatius, nestled in the heart of the Mission Valley, and the St. Ignatius Mission. The mission ...
