Today we stopped in Mississippi at the Stennis Space Center. This is a NASA test center where engines are test fired.

We saw where the Saturn 5 rockets, Shuttle and now the SLS engines are tested.

The Linear Aerospike Engine for the cancelled X-33 was also fired here.

It was worth the stop since it was on our way and a convenient stop. Doesn't really compare to Kennedy Space Center but it was interesting none the less.

We moved forward to Pass Christian,Mississippi—TLC Wolf River RV Resort. It was a very short travel day, and I was glad of that.

When we checked into the resort, we were told this campground had been completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and rebuilt. The Resort kept one of the cabins that was not destroyed by the hurricane.

I affirmed existing, and learned new, lessons about the value of TIME and of making the most of it. And I similarly affirmed, and learned new, lessons about the value of quality interpersonal contact both in person and in the on-line world. And there you have it. I hope this blog was as enjoyable for you to read as it was for me to ...

... in the wind. It’s a lot easier just to throw another tie on then trying to repack everything. After sleeping, I start strapping on my gear to go and find that I can’t recreate my strapping system that I had meticulously created before leaving and I’m short one strap. Don’t pack “outfits”, but do bring layers. You’re a motorcyclist. You’re taking a long trip exposed to the elements, with a much higher level of risk than the ...
