We got up early and planned a productive day. First we hit the local YMCA to get in a good workout and a much needed shower. We wanted to get a little hiking in as we hadn't been doing a lot of exercise lately and it was a beautiful day outside. ... I have been luxuriously lazy during the day. I begin the day with a walk on the beach followed by some quiet yoga looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. It's not our gorgeous blue Pacific but it will do! I've been taking lots of workshops online since I'm not teaching again until December. I spent about six hours a day last week learning how to be an effective dissertation chair...whew!
