... day's events because of the heavy rain but we still walked around this pleasant town. There was one apple fritter booth open and people were lined up waiting to purchase these fritters. We didn’t stand in line but we did go to Roger’s Apple Orchard Market and bought some apples along with some apple fritter donuts.

The next morning, Sunday, was beautiful so we drove the 30 minutes to Southington to attend the day’s Apple Festival events. ...

... accommodate both and quickly set up so we could eat a quick sandwich before going back to the visitor center to register. Staff was very friendly and while we were there, we registered for two Ranger-led pontoon boat excursions.

We left the center and headed to the Meeman-Shelby General Store located just outside the campground. All the reviews said to be sure and visit and “don’t forget to pet the rooster.” ...

We are taking a day off of driving so we will be here for 2 nights. Well the location of the camp behind the commisary is good but the rest of service here is poor. The camp Host is MIA and according to everyone here no one has ever seen him.We called MWR to get information but no one came to provide it.We were able to do all the restocking, cleaning, and maintenance. It was nice to just not move for a while It is still hot but not so ...
