... the Rock It coaster alone while the rest of us visited the DeLorean from Back to the Future so I could get the customary photo. The train from Back to the Future III was also there so several photos were taken! If only I could have sat inside, sigh. We also watched the Universal Parade which compared to Disney was pretty poor. About six floats and all children’s characters, no transformers or marvel stuff, not even the classic Universal characters ...
... to make friends, this time an Australian family who we kept running into at rides. We ran into them once again at Jurassic Park where they convinced us to ride with them in the boat. At the end of it we were pretty drenched so thought we might as well go on the other two water rides in the park, Ripsaw Falls and Bilge-rat Barges. As the weather was a bit chilly there was no one on the rides, by the end of it all we were totally drenched with Wade and the Dad of the other family ...
... an actual Saturn V rocket, huge doesn't really do it justice. There were also lunar landing modules and moon buggies and tons of other things. I was totally amazed at how much some of these things look as though they have been built out of toilet roll tubes and alfoil, they were pretty much up there with some of the things I've seen come off the construction table in a kindy classroom. ... a boardwalk by the water with restaurants, shops and activities. Since it was so cold we ran from shop to shop, then got the ferry to the other end. We got half price tickets to a 3-story Timezone-style video game place, and spent an hour or so playing guitar hero, old school pacman, simulators, virtual reality games and bumper cars. Lots of fun!
... efforts of several employees, they pulled off a very memorable meeting back stage with the professional actors involved. I guess you had to actually hear the story first hand to appreciate the gist, but it demonstrated how the combined team here pulls off the magic every day. We then ended the tour with all of the adults (mostly retired folks) singing along to the Mickey Mouse Club sign off song. It is truly a magical plqce, however you look at it.
