Our mornings are starting later but we did manage the bewitching hour of 9am to get breakfast Maggie pigged out on waffles and drowned it in syrup, and cannot face another waffle. We set off for Savannah and 20 miles later we arrived, after lots of left and rights but eventually arrived in the old town. Very interesting and charming city. ... hole-in-ones to the local paper. Our impromptu celebration was fun. Later I convinced everyone we had to go play trivia at a place called The Mellow Mushroom. The pizza restaurant was located just before the pay gate at Harbour Town. The atmosphere was 'happening'...but the pizza was expensive but good! We were not happy with the way they ran their trivia. ... it wasn't always that way. For some time burials were allowed in the backyards of private residence. In fact, many were buried in the earth basements of homes. Real estate regulations don't require disclosure of interments.

Our campsite just outside the city provided an excellent launching point for several day trips allowing us to explore the flora and fauna of this amazing area.

... It's 5.20 pm and Andrew really wanted to have some beers at the Harvest Moon brewery and maybe grab a bit of dinner depending on how full we still were. We tried a salty German style beer called something then Gose. By the end it was a little too salty which they used pink salt out of the salt pans. Andrew had three Porters after that and I had only one stout which won the 2014 World Cup best beer award. He was slurring after the second beer let alone have another ...

... have been open if the government was still closed. But luckily they settled their differences…or at least postponed them til later, just in time for my vacation to be OVER. Anyway, they have a great wildlife drive (the Savannah refuge…not the government although they are sort of a line up of useless monkeys for us to all stare at). Its about 4 miles long and gravel road so although the speed limit is 20mph I don’t recommend that. In fact I ...
