After taking our first overnight bus (cama-suite, fully reclining chairs, very posh), we arrived in Villa Gesell at about 7am. We spent a few days at this coastal town, about 5 hours south of Buenos Aires, as a stopping off point to Puerto Madryn. The weather was lovely so we had a couple of very long walks on the beach, along with a few good seafood dinners. As we were off-season the town was quiet but there were enough people there for the weekend to make it feel lively enough. A really attractive place to chill out for a couple of days.

... Our fashion points went up tremendously considering the rest of our garb is quick-drying technical clothing... A random observation - if you don´t own a pair of coverse yet, you are way behind the fashion curve. No joke, everyone in B.A. wears some type of Converse All-Stars. We wandered into one store and found other brand name shoes, like Merrill, copying the all star style! Nothing beats drinking coca cola out of a glass bottle.

After the comfort of our first bus journey, our second journey was on a bus which was a little shabby although the journey was a lot shorter (only 7 hours). Rather than films our entertainment consisted of a crazed Argentinian family (or maybe church group?) that burst into song with guitar accompaniment.
