So this morning it was hard to get missy to wake up because of the benadryl in her system. Eventually we got her to start moving & after getting dressed & having breakfast we set out on the hr & 30 min drive to get to my cousin's house in Red Rock.
It was pretty easy to get on the correct freeway to head south thank goodness & traffic wasn't bad. The land we drove on was pretty flat though there were mountains on either side of the freeway. ...
... different kinds of tamales...some from D&J, some from Merrily's larder...and some fudge left over from Dick's b'day. If we get hungry tonight, we'll dine on some smoked garlic sausages I brought from Port Barre, LA.
When next you hear from me, we'll have been back up at a dog show and have hooked up with Lacie, Merrily, and more Park Rapids friends, Sandy & Don Beurkly, in Scottsdale.

... of the coal we find on the ground… that at one time the plant was coal fired… we also assume it had a steam engine that was used to generate steam for some boilers and steam engines to generate electricity, maybe some power for pulleys to power the equipment… And of course coal to heat and melt ...

Angel lodge it got busier and we started seeing people from our coach
trip. Visiting the Canyon during monsoon season has it's benefits as
we pretty much had the trail to ourselves. When we got to the lodge
we drunk water from the Canyon spring, and had time to quickly grab a
cup of hot chocolate and Earl Grey . . .. bandage up Lynn's feet and
buy some postcards. On the way back we stopped at another little
service station on route ...
... Lexus, BMWs on the road in the real world. The kids worked at getting good with finding information we need on the iPad (something I never had on road trips.) They did NOT love Date Shakes from Dateland (something I did have on road trips!)

414 miles - 6 1/2 hours (only stopped for gas at Dateland...loving the Luggable Loo ...
