      It's another sunny day with temp of 19 and clear skies. We left around 11 from Tucson via Hwy 77 via Oro Valley ...first through dry hills of cacti....Sauaro, Cholla and Ochotilla. Mammoth to Superior, past the Copper Canyon mines.....huge open pit copper mines with huge tailing mountains...certainly not pretty!! ..to Globe, then Hwy 188 to Roosevelt Lake .....which is a huge man made lake named for Teddy Roosevelt when the dam was completed in 1911...to ...

      ... at Geri's and even got into the hot tub one night. Geri's g'son is on a full ride at UA on a baseball scholarship, so they were off to some games. I stayed home and snuggled with my dogs!

      Heard from Dick that they were headed out of CA and back towards some higher elevations in AZ because it was too hot over there. The first night here in Tucson they stayed in the Casino del Sol parking lot and then relocated to this park, ...

      ... Lexus, BMWs on the road in the real world. The kids worked at getting good with finding information we need on the iPad (something I never had on road trips.) They did NOT love Date Shakes from Dateland (something I did have on road trips!)
      263 freight train cars
      1 date shake split in to 2 cups
      414 miles - 6 1/2 hours (only stopped for gas at Dateland...loving the Luggable Loo ...
