8th day - Phoenix to Red Rock & my cousin's house

A travel blog entry by edwardsfamtrips on Mar 29, 2014

So this morning it was hard to get missy to wake up because of the benadryl in her system. Eventually we got her to start moving & after getting dressed & having breakfast we set out on the hr & 30 min drive to get to my cousin's house in Red Rock.

It was pretty easy to get on the correct freeway to head south thank goodness & traffic wasn't bad. The land we drove on was pretty flat though there were mountains on either side of the freeway. ...

... different kinds of tamales...some from D&J, some from Merrily's larder...and some fudge left over from Dick's b'day. If we get hungry tonight, we'll dine on some smoked garlic sausages I brought from Port Barre, LA.

When next you hear from me, we'll have been back up at a dog show and have hooked up with Lacie, Merrily, and more Park Rapids friends, Sandy & Don Beurkly, in Scottsdale.

Life is good!

we drunk water from the Canyon spring, and had time to quickly grab a
cup of hot chocolate and Earl Grey . . .. bandage up Lynn's feet and
buy some postcards. On the way back we stopped at another little
service station on route ...
