More time with the Hupps
We wanted more time with family and friends in Tucson. One more round of thinning out stuff we don't need, picking up a few things we do, and getting Bertha ready to head east. It's been great to have time with the family and long talks. Oh and Julie learned how to shoot a rifle and a hand gun including a bit of self defense lessons too. Colin said it' a bit like his EMT. Good skills to have but you hope you never have to use them.

All things with a fee so this place was clearlly a tourist-trap. ;) After takeing enough photos we quickly returned to the car and ac as it was about 103 deg. F / ...
Cacti, Cacti and more Cacti
... porcupine, bobcat, all sorts of birds including one walk-through aviary dedicated exclusively to hummingbirds, and spiders, scorpions and snakes. Eli was absolutely chuffed to see rattlenakes and the highlight for him was getting to touch the Rosy Boa that one of the museum workers was holding. He called it 'a cutey-pie"! After walking in the hot sun and strong wind for a couple of hours, we hunkered down in the restaurant on site, had a nice meal, took full and ...
