We are winding up our trip to Dallas and have spent the time with Simon and his family. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday has meant beautiful weather with daytime temperatures reaching 21 degrees and very sunny. We have visited a number of parks and done a few good walks. Sunday we went to Lewisville. We miss the coffee shops attached to the parks we have back in Australia. On Monday Steve and Christine went to Grapevine Mills DFO to try and retrieve the taxes ...

From Limited to Limitless

This week has been relatively quiet for me. I have pretty much gone to work, and returned home; anything outside of that has been few and far in between. It's the beginning of the year. So, with that comes reflections. Many people go on consecrations and fasts; most do not have lasting effects of that consecration and fast beyond 30 days. It usually is characterized by lots of social media posts announcing to all followers their significant sacrifice ...

Today was a trip to a State Park about 1 hour's drive north of Coppell. Whilst most of the drive was along freeways we passed through farming country with horse ranches and cattle before entering the park. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has a 29000 acre reservoir supporting many water activities. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind kept it cool - about 16. The park has many camping sites allowing for walking and ...

I'm determined this blog be shorter than past efforts, so here goes! Of course, that means I won't remember as much, but maybe I'll get it done...;-)

The day got shorter and shorter as I headed west. I had a decent layover in Salt Lake City, so I got some steps around the airport and looked at the mountains out the window...so beautiful! By the time I got to SF and found my apartment in North Beach my body thought it was bedtime, so we agreed that Brady shouldn't come in ...

Black Friday in Dallas

Shopping was the main objective today for probably 3/4 of the female population of Dallas...including Sue.

Ailien & Sam drove into the city to pick us up and off we went out to Carrollton for lunch at Babe's Chicken joint. This place is pretty popular and cooks up good ol' southern fried chicken...and don't forget the catfish. You can have your chicken or catfish either crumbed or smoked....yumm! Usually there is a long lineup to get a table in here but today ...
