Today was supposed to be stormy and rainy, so rather than risk going somewhere only to have to go home or inside, we chose to go to the nearby mall complete with cinema. We arrived at the mall for lunch (about 1:30) and went to California Pizza Kitchen. After lunch, we raced to the AMC theatre to see Black Mass. Jake and I had both seen trailers for this in England and wanted to see it, so this was the perfect excuse. We just had time to grab a drink before going in - it ...

... the Model Railroad Museum as our final choice. It turned out to be awesome, and the best all the museums we saw today. They had huge layouts of "O" Gauge, "HO" Gauge, and "N" Gauge trains setup throughout the building. They had huge mountains with tunnels and trestles and trains running everywhere. There was even a separate section for what were called Toy "O" Gauge trains where the trains were the kind that I played with when I was ...

After the hike we decided to head to Pacific Beach for dinner at the Alehouse. We got the lobster mac and cheese, an amazing smoked chicken pesto flat bread and a mango wheat beer that was absolutely delicious. The sun was setting and we walked down to the beach for the sunset. It couldn’t have been any better. Not a cloud in the sky, sand beneath my toes, 80 degrees, and my bestie by my side. Life is pretty perfect right about now. ...

... or anything, neither of us finished the meal and they didn't even seem remotely bothered when we told them that is smelt and tasted awful!! Everything was closed so we didn't manage to get another drink and we certainly weren't going to go back to barn yard Central!!! Had a wander around and got a few photos and got back on the Trolley to the hotel!! One donut, a Strongbow and half of Zoolander later and I'm out cold!! Next stop: San Deigo ...

As soon as we were off the train in LA we were back on another one to take us to San Diego. Luckily this train had wifi and some epic views along the coast of California. The place that we stayed was also amazing. A huge 8 bedroom house overlooking the city with a big garden/patio and hot tub. The guy there was pretty cool and gave us some good advice about getting around. It was only about 11 in ...
