    Hot, hot, hot! Spent last night in a travel lodge which was very comfortable anticipating the next week in Hilton spa resort. Breakfast typically American- pancakes, eggs, bacon, cinnamon pastries, porridge, granola, toast and fruit.     ... in an Italian restaurant and then drove a bit further downtown before returning to the hotel. Although we havn`t seen a lot of San Diego it seems a very pleasant, relaxed place.
    We end the night with a game of cards (7`s it`s the only game we can remember). The scores are being recorded with the deal being the loser buys dinner on our last night in New York. At the moment it looks like it`s going to be Gill but there is plenty of time for that to change ...

    ... the four of us would probably be considered cramped.

    It may be 30 feet in length but at Chula Vista it's the baby of the bunch. Massive coach-like RVs is the order of the day here, with every possible home comfort available. Made our rental effort seem quite inadequate!

    Around 11pm it was lights out and bed time, as thoughts were turned to Wednesday and the start of the 'desert phase' of our holiday.
