... the right road again. This was the outline and not as good as the whole chalk horse that is in Devon (so Cheryl informs me when it is far too late to go there!). Really, it was great, we walked along the hills and the laneway to dragon hill and we were still too close to get a decent shot of the horse. I decided that I had to run up the hill to get shots from above it. That was fine till I got up the first steep face then realised there was heaps ...

... we leave the canal path and turn onto the busy A361. Fortunately, not far out of town, the road quiets down as cars have deviated towards other destinations. Our route takes us via Avebury henge, which we had visited on our Mad Max tour and we find ourselves only 16 km out of Swindon.

... because I am sure it will be expensive there. The cream tea I had at The Rose was more like an afternoon tea. It had three finger sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream and jam, a slice of dessert, and a pot of tea. It was perfect!
