... an accomplished artist from this school, and did a lot of quite nice landscapes in the Holy Land. He also illustrated Tennyson. Odd combination of talents!

The other thing I learned, from sticky-beaking on other people's conversations, is that the Ashmolean's extensive collection of Michelangelo and Raphael drawings can be seen by appointment, and I have made myself an appointment for Friday afternoon, soooo excited!

Even though I've been sick since the Super Bowl on Sunday, I've done quite a lot.

So last Sunday was the Super Bowl, and due to it airing really late here and I had no vested interest in either of the two teams playing I only watched it until after the half time show. I watched the Super Bowl at Imperial College. They had a large screening of the Super Bowl, but the entire atmosphere was ridiculous to me. No one there actually cares about American football. Tomorrow Pete and I set of on our intrepid adventure to Nepal. We fly to Kathmandu tomorrow via Delhi. A word to the wise to anybody flying via India-you need a visa to pass through the airport, even if you are just changing flights. It's best to organise these things in advance and not leave it until 5 days before you are intending to fly!

... these are represented by the student population, attending one of the campuses amongst the vast Oxford University. As we walk around the streets, the architecture already, is absolutely amazing! The most impressive of the buildings belong to the immense University...some of the remaining older buildings are also the churches.

We covered plenty of ground...went to the remnants of Oxford Castle, circa 1070...not that there is much left...and any ...

Good news for me (!) the Quantas flight to Bangkok is BA so no need to worry if the engine is going to fall off...Hopefully they will have sorted out the problems by the time I get to Singapore!
