While there were still more climbs and a large rocky section later in the day, the hike was a very good one as the trail traversed the peaks and offered some great views of the surrounding area. I was very appreciative that the hike also offered a change in scenery, too, with rocky peaks and boulder-strewn plains. It reminded me of the southwest a bit, with all the scrub bushes and rocks. We also went into The Arts Depot - an old depot turned into artists' studios and a gallery. We met several artists and watched them work. The one who intrigued me the most was weaving tapetries.
