Well, 100 days later, and I'm back right where I started. Little will know what I have experienced over the past few months, unless of course it goes to publication, which takes a tremendous dedication on my part. Not much to say, but rather do. We drove into Lakeview itself, but it's a very small town, so we went along the road only 2 minutes away and there was the usual McDonalds etc, but we decided to eat at this diner type restaurant called 'Aunt Milly's Restaurant.' After lunch we cruised around trying to find a campground to stay in (most were full) but we finally found a site at the Indian Lake State park ...

Planning a trip around the world is very exciting, especially when people tell you that it is not a good idea. It is hard to imagine that in a little more than a month, I will be gone for 100 days to places that English is the second, third or not spoken at all language. A scary thought for most, but for me a new challenge in my quest for culture and knowledge......

don't know for certain what the proper name of this place was but it was a beautiful country club building on a hilltop in springfield ohio... we played some quartet music and then the entire brahms op.25 with chris durrenberger on piano. we were able to order food before the concert that was served to us in a private room after all the attendees had finally finished schmoozing and eating reception food after the concert. yum!

After the morning of coaching students at Hilliard High School, we drove to Springfield to check into our hotel and then met with pianist Chris Durrenburger at Wittenberg University to have a first rehearsal with him on the Brahms Piano Quartet in G minor, op.25, that we're playing with him in a couple of concerts this week.
