A very early start today - up at 6 to get to Universal Studios for a full day of Harry Potter fun! Shannon came over and we left for the park - Emily, Phillip, Shannon, Phillips cop friend and neighbour, George, and I. With no rain forecast for today (a first!) we were excited to be spending the day in the sun at the well established as well as brand new sections of theme parks. I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter.. Spread over 2 parks with ...

First stop today Gator Harley, got there about 11am and it was packed, must have been a few thousand bikes parked up. Went into the store and I picked up a t-shirt and Di didn't want to be left out so purchased a new leather cowboy style hat (very nice). We then had a good look round and I introduced Di to 'Rum runners' hmmm they taste so good, strawberry flavoured alcoholic slush puppies , next up was the Ms ...

The bikes lined the streets, this event can attract 300,000 bikes! We had a great time walking the streets, drinking beer, checking out the ...

... new town square, Paddock Square, at Brownwood. It was extremely windy and we were really buffeted about, not to mention sand blasted as there are still areas down here that are under development. Brownwood is still largely a ghost town from a retail point-of-view although it has a movie theatre, Barnstorm, and several restaurants such as World of Beer. We had been on the hunt for the local paper and found it at the Pinellas Plaza, home of ...

... area was both close to the Villages for check-in tomorrow and reasonably priced. I have been shocked at the $200+ prices on this trip for places like the Holiday Inn Express. Richard even browsed light towable trailers yesterday in Kissimmee while I slept in case we buy an SUV in the future.

Orlando traffic was pretty heavy this morning and Charles kept announcing slow traffic ahead. We found a Starbucks very close to where we had stayed ...
