      ... your tongue, it began to melt into nothingness. There was no chewing required. It had an excellent taste that was neither too smokey or too sweet. The ribs were more on the sweeter side. Part of this was due to the sauce which was sweeter than other BBQ sauces I’ve tired, but it also seemed as though they had been rubbed in a sweeter type rub possibly with a good bit of brown sugar in it.       ... complemented well by the sweet tanginess of the barbecue sauce. The spicy slaw was vinegar-based with just a little kick. Paired very well with the ribs and brisket to give it just a little extra spice at the end. Even the Texas toast had a taste that was unique. They also had a hot barbecue sauce that lacked the sweetness of the regular sauce but instead had a spicy tanginess.

      Rob was surprisingly alert and said he could have driven on for a good bit. This sudden alertness and not once uttering "I could really use a nap", made me think at perhaps he was ill...... He is a great captain and true to his new found self had us up and on the road by 4:30am
