A short 1 hr drive into downtown Chicago. The weather is really starting to cool off a bit now, jackets and beanies are out. We had to pre book car parking for the couple days so we left the van near the hostel and headed into the main part of downtown, we saw the bean and the city sights, did some shopping and bought our jerseys for the bulls game. As we drove into Chicago, everyone was off to the football, Chicago Bears were playing Miami Dolphins. ...

We actually are not in Sioux Falls, SD, yet. From Excelsior, MN, we drove south to Lake Okoboji where the Iowa Lakeside Lab is located. Let Your thoughts dwell in my mind and Your desires dwell in my heart. Fill me, Oh Lord, with Your Spirit.Equip me to equip those I encounter. Let my life be a living sacrifice to further Your kingdom. May Your rule and reign take hold on the earth. May the blind see and the lame ...

When we first arrived, in Iowa, Dylan's Grandpa Russ took him fishing at either Storm Lake, a short drive or Spirit Lake up near the Minnesota border. Alas, the first few times they came back with buckets filled only with disappointment, but even without the prize, it was a great way for them to spend some quality time together. It was something they were both looking forward to when we were planning ...
