    ... for a lot longer and they had to call out another boat to transfer us, and yes, get the boys down. Anyway, after all that the girls still went up!!! We had great weather again yesterday so we wanted to make the most if the pool and the beach as we new there were predicted showers for today...and they were right. Late yesterday afternoon we made our way to a huge shopping centre that had heaps of restaurants, prices here are the same as back home if not more expensive so not ...

    ... on many others stages of my travels, using say a Mcdonalds as a point of reference is not always a great you soon learn , usually with whoops ,and followed by a nervous "on my god, i could be lost again ' laugh, but hey all part of the adventure !
    it was a beautiful morning, so i stopped for lunch at my fauvorite restaurant for Taliba ( oysters ) delicious and so cheap , i think something crazy like 60 pesos for a dozen oysters... thast $1.50 NZ.. woo hooo ...

    ... and our flight appears to be on time. We’d left nearly 4 hours to make the connection because of advice we received about the chaotic mayhem of Manila airport, none of which transpires to be true.

    Our Cebu flight arrives through a massive thunderstorm and we alight at possibly the smallest, most hokey International airport we’ve ever seen. - Mactan.

    Now to take on the much maligned and feared local taxi drivers. ...

    ... like donkeys and ready to see a huge bronze statue of Buddha at Lantau Island. This is the same island that the airport is on so we had to trawl our luggage for miles and miles through the HK underground system.

    Once we got there we stuck the cases in storage for 3 hours and headed for the cable car feeling considerably lighter! We opted for a 360 cable car which meant it had a glass floor. The view was amazing, but my tummy was all tickly when I put Elodie down ...
