    ... re somewhere rather different than home!

    We then switch buses and reach Clarksdale for dinner at Ground Zero. For those who had not been here before, the first look at Ground Zero is a bit surprising! Our on-bus musicians sing a guest song on the stage and make the most ever out of the one song they are given! I settle in for the night in my very own room and wait for the next day.

    ... The rain began just south of Dodge City, followed by a severe thunderstorm with lightning, winds ( later found to be gusting to 60 mph ), and the accompanying loss of visibility.     ... big artists recorded there first ever track. Beale Street is a significant location in the history of the blues music. There are blues clubs and restaurants that line Beale Street.     ... to Elvis when on the Letterman show one night. Date, quote and all.

    Every available inch- and then some- of the house is filled with Elvis pictures, records, toys, etc. Even the ceiling—completely covered. There are glass bottles with references to Elvis, there are many duplicates of candy wrappers that have Elvis’s name on it stuck on the ceiling, there is even a cut out Statue of Liberty as he believes it bears a resemblance to Elvis.
