    ... had a great veggie quiche with homemade sourdough toasted bread. When we returned, the mechanic had just finished securing the canister. He was able to put three of the four screws into place. I had secured the canister with a motorcycle tie down and he recommended we keep that on as well.     Sunday November 2nd

    We left Yuma and headed for John and Bertha's in El Centro. They drove us to the cruise port in San Diego. The Statendam would be our home for the next 31 days. Our cruise will be taking us from San Diego to Peru then back to San Diego. We had a nice lunch on the Lido deck then we just wandered around, familiarizing ourselves with the ship's layout.     A two hour drive south down the coast to San Diego, to spend the day at the world famous Sea World and to see the Shamu killer whale show.

    An early start and a long day, but a fantastic day out. Some surprises in finding a very fast roller coaster called The Mantra, which Josh and Ben rode on 7 times! The 'Fast Pass' paid for itself here!

    ... so on the Mormon bandwagon it turned out, drinking and dancing with the rest of us. Headed back to bed much later than planned thanks to the excellent hair metal.
