... feet up on the dash and pushed the seat back until I was comfortable. Unfortunately my first observation was of my pasty white legs remaining after spending almost an entire week in the tropics. Also to my surprise, my leg hair was much longer than I thought to have left it. The shower in the Florida home is dark and hard to maneuver so shaving your legs is a quick reach and swipe and cross of your fingers it would be decent for public viewing.
Arrived yesterday in the pouring rain. Had spent the day doing general store with grist mill in Helen. Did a great hike to Ruby Falls. Went on to Clayton. Visited the Main St Gallery but the right Folk Art wasn't there - some cute birds and a gourd turkey - but not quite right. Had a dynamite lunch in a new restaurant called Fortify and then headed south. Drove through the pour in rain and arrived at the KOA. Had "lovely" take-out from Wendy's and turned in early. Had ...
... were out to dinner it took us until between 7 and 7:30 before we connected on Facetime. Michael loved the Tidmouth Sheds as we knew he would and we got our first glimpse of the new Lightning McQueen red cast. An e-mail from Heather today said Emily has gained 14 ounces in less than a week!
Finally we got to dinner at Margarita's - a short walk from the hotel and enjoyed the drink of the same name and some Mexican food, all for as little as $24!
Headed N on Sat. Took all morning to get packed up & leave. Tried for a visit w Nanette- she was on E Coast. Then got off on 60 in Tpa to see Su & Joel in hospital but they took her for MRI so we turned back to hwy. nice lunch at Sweet Tom. Arrived at Comfort Inn Macon, GA apex 8:30pm then to B&N till 10pm. Back in room but too tired to do much. CVS in am. LUNCH at PANERA near Charlotte,NC SEAGATE didn't work for what I need. Am reading mag RE blogging ...
After all of my negative comments about toll roads and Florida toll roads in particular, I must relay today's toll road experience heading out of the Orlando area. First, we paid $0.75 (exact change only, you know), for the privilege of getting onto the first toll road of the day. I start grumbling again.
