Historical Traveler Reviews of Days Inn Graceland Memphis
Great location
from gilli
Stayed here 6th-9th April.04, was a bit worried by the reviews and cheap rates. However it was fine, a little tired maybe, but reasonably clean and comfortable with a good free breakfast. The location could not be better for Graceland and if not driving there is a complimentary shuttle downtown. Staff at the hotel were welcoming, friendly and helpful. all in all great value for money, would stay here again!!
Enjoyed my stay!!

my parents go there every year and love it .so after two years of them going i decided to go myself and took 7 members of my family with me 9 including my mum and dad and LOVED IT it was very clean and tidy and the staff was very nice to us. i remember the second year when my mum and dad went i was worried about them i was home in england and they had not phoned us for a few days so i made a long distance call from england and asked the staff if they was ok AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WAS FINE AND HAD JUST GONE OUT FOR SOMTHING TO EAT AND WHEN THEY ARRIVED THEY WOULD TELL THEM I HAD CALLED THEM and i must say THANKYOU to the pearson who answerd my call from uk for putting my mind at ease ... i am so looking forward to going there again and i recomend it for everyone .... love to all the staff at days inn graceland X X X
Ugh Days Inn Graceland - Elvis is rolling over in his grave

I stayed at the Graceland last week for three days and it was awful.
Definitely needs updating. The outside looks ok, even the lobby is OK, but the interior of the rooms are falling apart. There wasn't even an outlet cover on some of the outlets in our room. The bathtub needed major cleaning and the room was just falling apart. Definitely needs to be updated. Tried to charge me a dollar a day for a safe charge, but they took it off. Beware, they'll charge you $1.10 per day and put it on your bill w/o telling you. Say something and they will take it off!

Loved It!!! The LOCATION, itself is mind blowing, The VEIW of GRACELAND and the X-Mas lights was AWESOME, the ROOM itself, was very clean, spacious, and really fit in w/ it's surroundings, the STAFF was GREAT, and THE CONNTINENTAL BREAKFAST, was FANTASTIC, it offers lots of choices, to please everyone in the family, even the smallest of them. We were VERY-VERY IMPRESSED & would most deffinetly RECOMMEND, and stay here again in a heart beat!!!

I have an 18 month daughter and she walked on the carpet barefoot when we arrived at the motel- no more than 10 minutes walking around and her feet were the filthiest ever. Her feet were so black and she wanted to crawl around but i couldnt let her. Her fun was ruined. The carpet was the nastiest ever and it should be shampooed more often. The comforter on the beds were fresh stained with something. The counter tops were sticky and the refrigerator was sticky and there was a beer left in there. The alarm clock was sticky with hair stuck to it and the blow dryer was dustier than anything ive seen in a long time. There was someones hair left near the counter top sink on the left hand side. The room was quite expensive considering the condition of the room. All in all our stay was cut short because of this motel. We had intened to stay 2 days. The continental breakfast was not very good.
LOVED MEMPHIS GRACELAND DAYS INN

I went to Days Inn Graceland last October and it was one of the best hotels I ever visited. Thestaff was extremely helpful and courteous, and the room was clean and spacious. The continentalbreakfast was good and it is directly across the street from Graceland. I look forward to going back again over Christmas. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in good value, cleanrooms, courteous staff and the location is excellent.
Not fit for the King

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last week. We had always wanted to see Graceland and thought that since this hotel was so close and we couldn't get into The Heartbreak Hotel, this was our best bet. I now know why there were no pictures available on the website. The hotel was very disappointing. We had originally wanted to stay 3 nights, but cut out trip short to only 1 night. Our room smelled like smoke,it was very dirty! There were stains on the carpet and holes in the bedspread. A picture on the wall had been sprayed with cleaner and it was left there to drip down the picture and dry. No one even wiped it! That's disgusting! The bathroom could have been cleaner also. I will never stay there again.

Me and my wife stayed at Days Inn at Graceland in February 2002 and we had a great time. Elvis fans could not wish for a better location with Graceland a mere stone's throw from the hotel and a free shuttlebus from the Graceland Plaza that will take you to Downtown Memphis inc Sun Studios (just give the driver a well-deserved tip!)... Hotel facilities may be basic, but a great free breakfast everyday compensates for any shortcomings you may wish to seek. Staff are friendly and a slight problem with our tv was resolved quickly... We look forward to our next visit.
