    ... school kids. We gave up on that one and moved on to the Air and Space Museum, conveniently located only 100 miles or so up and across the National Mall. By the time we got there and got in, we saw a couple of exhibits and decided we were tired (I can’t imagine why), so we got a snack in their snack bar and called it a day. We’ll go back in a few days to see the rest.

    ... monument is fantastic, it is free but we recommend getting tickets in advance to avoid the queues, especially in winter when you queue outside in the freezing temperatures. The monument was the tallest structure in the world in it's day and a marvel of engineering at the time.
