... we head for Civitavecchia to board cruise ship. We will probably take an open air bus to get a flavor of the city tomorrow and plan our excursions from there based off what we see. Friday AM we have a private tour in the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica, et al. Should be fun!

We had to get an early start the next morning, we had a very long drive to East Texas, but Travis wanted to make sure we tried some delicious sticky buns before we left. They were, in fact, very delicious, and we got to see Navarre beach, also not dog friendly. The beach towns have not been good to Lola on this trip so far.

Sleep for little miss was kind of a mess, the first two hours she slept the majority of, but other than that sleep came in about 30 minute increments the rest of the 12 hour drive home. We all made it home in one piece but there were parts of it that got a bit hairy. Between toys, cell phones (in which unnecessary groupons were accidentally ordered, lol!), laptops and a little bit ...

They take your family's picture when you board and sell them at the end, but everything else including beer, wine, soda and water to drink, crackers to feed the local sea gulls, even a chance to drive the boat for kids (little miss was far to young at the time for that) is included in your admission price. Its an absolutely amazing way to see the harbor, the gulf and the bay in two hours time!
