... seem counter intuitive, but I think he's enjoying the sounds of nature with the crack of each bat. He is rooting for Vanderbilt, Rich's Alma mater for those who may not know. I am at my favorite spot in the camper (dining table that cleverly converts to a queen size bed) to journal.

It was a very busy day with lots to write about. I might have considered taking a day off but I am very encouraged by your comments. They help me to stay motivated ...

Well we finally arrived home today!! After 65 days we logged 9,217.7 miles, 201.2 hours driving. 7 states, Alaska and 6 in the lower 48, In Canada, 4 provinces and 1 territory. Wow what a journey, many unforgettable sights and new friends made!! But there's no place like home & family. We had a nice short jump today to De Soto which was balanced
out by a difficult and oddly shaped lot in De Soto that required all of us to
temporarily wedge ourselves into a parking lot and then take turns turning
around and driving down a driveway that we parked along the side of on the way

... Sybils was suggested for fine dining but the wait was too long. We headed next door to Country Bob's for down home cooking and at half the price. Missouri wines are terrible, but we go tasting anyway! the Norton grape grows well here which is used in most reds; and it is the worst.
