Most of the rest of our journey was on the Interstate which was quite busy at times and it was a very hot afternoon. We arrived at our Super 8 Hotel at about 5pm.

It's the 4th July! Lovely 95 miles today. Perfect temperature and flat landscape mostly consisting of corn and soya beans

Kettie and I cruised along, stopped for pizza at Pizza Hut watched Murray win his Wimbledon game.

Discovered strawberry bread at SAG. Life changing.

Fun dinner. Guessing are fireworks tonight but no-one able to stay up for the 9.30-11 celebrations!

... night so the towns people felt safe. Alongside the gaol is a wagon that was formerly used as a diner to feed the travellers. We stop at Dwight a very small town with a historic Texaco Gas Station. It's a little museum come shop. On now to Pontiac. So much to see but first we must eat. We stop at the Old log cabin diner. Originally opened in 1926 facing the highway but when the highway was realigned it was behind the diner, so ...

... scary, Jackie who soon became our favourite person EVER! As we were almost finishing all the info/paperwork she asked if we wanted an upgrade. And ofcourse Jess and I were curious. And then everything just turned for the better when our upgrade became a Ford Mustang! The start to our road trip just turned into AWESOMENESS!

As we sat in the car about to leave neither of us could believe that we were actually sitting in such an amazing ...
