    ... I was in slow motion. The direction of the road wasn't that obvious to someone unfamiliar with this area but as soon as I saw the opening I cranked on the throttle.     Well done to Stuart and Sylvia for surviving a epic ride (227 miles) through the best and worst that the eastern states of the USA could throw at us. So much for the easy first day they asked for! Oops. But hopefully the jet lag will have eased tomorrow, and on the bright side Stuart’s new boots are, in fact, waterproof.

    ... it was 3:30 and we wanted to watch the USA soccer (football) game at 4:00. We found a Buffalo Wild Wings right off the exit, so we were happy until the USA lost.

    Tomorrow morning we will complete the final leg to Blacksburg.

Emily and I have decided to speak Spanish to each other, which will probably be the most strange experience. No matter what happens, I am truly excited to have my sister by my side.
