... by on Destin's mom. She was really nice and her latest husband showed me all his airplanes he had built, his passion. Then I went back to Destin's for a couple of hours. On my way home we stopped off for a real American milkshake made with real raspberries.
I have to say I feel a bit stranded this time around in Utah. When I was here before my friend Cardell lent me his car for the three weeks, which was great as I could just hop in the car and go wherever I wanted. He was going to ...
South Jordan, Utah, United States ianpaul... showed me the door.
Boy was I relieved. I was so glad that I had got through, but this obviously has no worried me for future trips. I really thought all this was behind me, but no I know otherwise.
Anyway, things didn't get much better. It was now 2:45pm and I had to wait for Loren, Maren's husband to pick me up at 4pm. I waited outside at the passenger pick-up point in case he came a little early. Well, I waited and waited. Plus the weather was starting to get really cold ...
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States ianpaul... he had washed our entire car! Guess he thought we should get what our money's worth.

In San Carlos we went scuba diving with sea lions, which was an amazing experience, but a bit scary at the same time. They would swim right at your face and then suddenly turn and swim away. Interesting. This was when I was a teenager, I think about 16, after getting open-water certified in a pool in Utah. Mexico was my first time scuba diving in the ocean.
<br ...

He never understands why people need huge houses (as we drove by many of them on the way up). I think he's right, for all of the above.

I met my family near the mouth of the canyon before we drove up, at a grocery store. We planned ...
Millcreek, Utah, United States alifebeinglived... us we were going to get in trouble for the pop up, which we hadn't even raised yet. Their son-in-law just heard it about his pop-up and he was only visiting. The rangers made him move on. The worry is that bears can get in, but every other camping site in Yellowstone allows tents, so i don't know, but the ranger spotted us as soon as the campers moved on.

As he approached, i immediately told him we planned to sleep at the ...
Evanston, Wyoming, United States trip09Nothing exciting, no longer tourists, just Intersate travelers. Crossed great salt flats, home of the Bonneville Speed . Stopped at Salt Lake City H-D for dots, clothes and a wind breaker. I have lots of excess wind from under the windshield, hope it helps. Sleeping early, need to make Nebraska tomorrow. May not post tomorrow as pictures get boring. Bye.
Evanston, Wyoming, United States 7x70on66... quite aromatic when I open it at home: I bought a half wheel of cheese and various salamis. Hmmm! Connections in Chicago were tight as well, again with about half the time spent getting through security and immigration/customs. I must admit, however, that the customs folks were friendlier than I remember them in times past. Slept most of the way to Salt Lake City. So now I'm sitting in the commuter terminal, just 2 hours ...
