The storm that threatened me during the preceding twenty-four hours had dumped record rainfall on the MO, AR, IL, KY, TN geographical hub around the confluence of the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee ...

Yesterday, my mum had the inspired idea to have a family picnic in Mark Twain State Park in Doniphan, Missouri, right on the Current River. I was pretty excited since it's been a while since everyone has had the day off and can go out and do something together without having to worry about going back to work or another commitment.

We left in the early afternoon and ...
