I am officially on my way to New York City (currently over Michigan!) and the trip is going well so far. The seat next to me on the plane is open, which always a bonus, AND our travel agent gave me a little upgrade which never hurts J
I am going to try to keep this blog as updated as possible… I hope you enjoy it!
Love,
Alexis
After a couple of hectig months we sold our house, filled the POD (container) with all belongings we wanted to keep. Sold, donated and gave away the rest. The POD is in indefinite storage in Michigan giving us time to follow our dreams for a while. First on the agenda is a visit to my sister Yolanda and husband Laron in Washington DC.

The show was amazing. But Bruce does need to polish up his geographical skills. He kept referring to Ohio while he was in Michigan. Ah well, he had a classy way around it: "It took me forty years to **** that up". Ha!

I am still at home. Only one more week. Being away from my home for three weeks requires a lot of preparation. I even know the movie that are going to have on the Flight. I am tired already!! Since I will be on a plane for almost 24 hours, I am collecting all the necessary stuff needed to be comfortable.

Wyandotte, Michigan, United States reesies... food, we ate every scrap. The ride home was the pleasantest trans-atlantic flight I have ever had. No screaming kids, no sick people hacking and sneezing all over us, no stinky neighbors, just smooth flying all the way. We watched movies, read, talked, laughed and waited the 8.5 hours as if it were nothing. We breezed through customs without a hitch, even making the customs officer laugh when we stated the countries that we ...
Detroit, Michigan, United States sly.mod... different from our visit last year where they had an unusual heatwave. The summer in Ireland this far has been the wettest in 35 years. That is it from the US - hopefully next time I make an entry it will be in Ireland (assuming I don't get busted for illegal ziplock baggy usage).
Detroit, Michigan, United States walkingglass... what they were fishing out in the middle of nowhere??? Arriving in Sarnia on a Sunday is not a wise move. In a short period of time we had woven our way through more than a hundred boats engaged in sailboat races, fishing sightseeing and just sitting still watching the festivities. Going under the Blue Water Bridge which connects Sarnia to Port Huron was quite an experience. Waves from the passing boats and a freighter rebounded from the corrugated steel walls of the channel ...
