I'm here for Bridgets wedding staying at a beachfront condo with some other Chicago classmates.  We were all down at the beach catching some rays and Kyle and I decided to throw the football for a bit in the nice clear water.  He dove for a ball and lost his wedding ring in the nice clear water.  We hunted for about an hour in the nice clear water, but were unfortunately unsuccessful.  Helicopters from the nearby airforce ...

The sky is clear and lit by the stars and the moon.  The water is pretty calm and the temperature is perfect.

This is some sort of paradise....

On our "Farewell Tour" Lauren and I definitely wanted to see her grandparents and relatives on her Mom's side, since we really didn't get a chance to see them on the first leg of our Farewell Tour when we were in Wisconsin a few weeks back. Low and behold her mom and Grandparents had rented a beautiful beach house in Florida for all the relatives to stay in. So Hooray! We didn't have to go to Wisconsin but instead traveled to Santa Rosa Beach near Destin ...

Our first stop was Niceville up in the panhandle. (Actually, our first stop was Sonny's BBQ in Ocala for a BBQ pork platter and a bowl of fried okra - yum!) Just to answer the question before it is asked - No, not everyone is nice in Niceville. But it is pleasant enough and a short drive across the bridge from Destin which has some of the best beaches ...

... of Panama City. We've been there a few times before and sort of use it as our 'East Coast home base'. PJ had some serious health battles a few months back, but was looking fabulous. We only stayed a little over two weeks but had fun catching up on news, both of there in FL and also about Maui. For those of you that might not know, or remember, her business is a reservations service for many different fun activities (luaus, boat trips ...

... And we busted a tire. :]] Isn't that great? We waited over an hour for someone from Triple A to show up, and then it took a while to get back on the road. Even then, we had to stop at WalMart and have our tire fixed by the WalMart Car center thing. We waited another hour, eating Subway. Then we left, and found a hotel in town. So now we're off to see the wizard... I mean off towards home. :] Anyways, Dad just snapped at me to hurry up so... goodnight. =/ --Kali

... on the Florida panhandle. It's not a very big place, but it has a nice RV park on a lake. We got there about 4PM and got set up in the rain. The owner came out to direct us in and wasn't too happy but helped us get situated. We did the usual dinner and clean up and then decided to take the dogs for a walk since the rain had stopped. We were enjoying our stay there with our friends and PJ's really good cooking, as well as, helping with the phones, so we stayed through Memorial Day. After a pleasant week on the Gulf Shore, we headed for Florida. Then a few miles later, just after we crossed the border into Florida, we barely escaped having a bad accident with a cement truck!
