... a primary stop on the migratory route for many birds. They also had a nature drive that we took. Did not see much, only a couple of turkeys, as it is the wrong time of year. But that gave us our first critter fix for the day. As on our 2010 trip we try and see a 'critter', anything non-domesticated, every day.

I forgot to mention in our last entry an interesting encounter we had with the campers in the site next to us. We were talking about where we were going and they were on their way home to Oregon from being in as far east as Schenectady. We mentioned we were from upstate NY near Binghamton. It turned out that they had camped a couple of nights before in Harpursville. We all got a chuckle from that ...

... the bed sheets looked like being the only way to prevent us sliding out of the bed at night! We made it through the night but Elvis felt he had to wear flip flops the next day as so much blood had pooled in his feet!!

What a great zoo trip with Steve and Shelby (thanks guys for driving us around – especially to all the banks in the morning!!) We had a great day and can well see a fish tank being a part of our near ...
