The Days Inn motels are a chain of motels and associated restaurants that are built on many of the sidings on the UK Motorways. They are just average accommodation but they give you an opportunity to break your journey and they are usually near a major town or small city.

Further along the prom was an interesting place – the local Bocci club. People were playing a match so we stopped to watch for a while. Its a game similar to boules, which we’ve enjoyed playing in France & Spain, but the “balls” are very different: a TINY silver jack, 2 colours for opposing teams, with each having 3 spherical ones and 3 large sort of cylinders ...

... one of us hates flying (can you guess which one?!). Once we got onto our quick flight to London we started to settle down a bit and after a quick bacon butty (Tom got both of them) and a cup of tea it was time to come down again and we arrived in London in no time. Heathrow airport is huge!! Once we got through security and had our last meal in Britain (a cheese and pickle bagguete, it was perfect) it was time to get ...
