We knew before going that the area was small, but there were very few animals to see. Naturally we wanted photos of the dolphins.       Who's ever heard of Busch Gardens? It's an hour away from Orlando, near Tampa in fact, and doesn't have the brand or prestige of Disney or Universal but it has two of the best roller coasters we came across.       ... an interesting few hours exploring the houses, grounds, museum and lab we were off again heading towards Tampa.

      We stopped in at Apollo beach which is known for its Manatees. They come into a small canal/outlet that the Tampa Electric company releases their waste water into as it is warm. In winter time a larger number of manatees can be seen in the canal up to around 300, we were lucky enough to see over 100. The Manatee belongs to the same family of ...
