... John could hardly keep his eyes open. Enough excitement for the day. For dinner, we stopped at a local cheese shoppe and got a selection of awesome cheese, olives and pizza. And more Heiniken beer- brewed in Amsterdam. Heard from Kaymitch a little- they landed safely in Rome and Mitch was eating pizza! Tomorrow early we leave for Cologne, Germany. ... except in the Gobi in Mongolia, where we will be housed in a ger which is a felt tent with no electricity or running water - I will explain the bathroom facilities later - Linda is really excited about this stop, but she is game as I told her the shopping in the Gobi desert is fantastic. Finally on the road, we headed north to take the ferry across the Wisconsin River at Merrimac. It was a gorgeous ride, made even better by the fact that until a few minutes earlier, we hadn't even known there was a Wisconsin River.
