    ... to our next destination, right…………… ;……..wrong!!!

We pack our bags, check out, store the bags and walk down to the Circle Line Pier. It is pouring, but armed with our umbrellas we storm down 42nd street to the ferry terminal. It's a lot of fun and laughter in the face of the swirling rain, and a 30 min walk we hop onto our ferry.

... it's untrue. I went into one at Macy's the other day & it flushed itself a whole three times during my supposedly short visit. I just wasn't quick enough for the average New Yorker woman; who don't seem to hang around for as long as we seem to in the UK. But then, given the reasons I've described, you can literally see why. ... walking back home I heard the identifiable sounds of a drum line. When I got to the corner of the block I looked down to the next street and sure enough there was a small marching band at the next corner. Naturally, I had to go check it out! It seemed to be some kind of small parade. There was a group of people way ahead carrying a banner but I was never able to see what it said. They stood there for a minute while the drum ...

... It was in 4D, so we ended up getting blasted with jets of air and splashed with water a lot. Like I said, interesting.

Once we were done in the wax museum, we walked over to the Italian restaurant I had wanted to go to the night before: Trattoria Trecolori. When we got there, we both ended up ordering one of their specials. Mom got some kind of scallop/risotto dish, and I had an amazing piece of lasagna. I have no idea what was in it, but it was probably ...
