... early because heard the lines can get very long (Justin Beiber was at the service last week!) We were around 5th in line and waiting out in the cold. But then someone from the church brought around hot chocolates and biscuits- lovely hospitality! We signed the kids into kids church and enjoyed the service with the worship and Laura Lentz preaching. I knew more songs this time in NY compared to London but it was pretty hard to beat the preaching we heard ...

... lady liberty herself. Even though we were quite early, there were heaps of people. The statue is very impressive.

We climbed the 197 steps to the top of the pedestal and dean continued on another 200 steps in a narrow windy dark stairwell to the crown. ... In the afternoon I took on the 10km loop run around Central Park. Just making the most of the time we had remaining in this city.

On our second last day in New York we ventured out to tick off any remaining landmarks we had yet to conquer. The phenomenon 'Eataly’ had been recommended by a number of people so we ventured down ...

... feedback online. While wandering around, we saw a police officer arrest a fellow. The policeman seemed cross that the fellow, who was well groomed and wearing some type of uniform, was standing there and talking on his phone. After a few words were exchanged, the fellow was in handcuffs and at least three other patrol cars were there almost immediately. It was good to see Lady Liberty and Ellis Island. It was a long day tho, taking about six hours - the crowds of people! We were glad ...
