We only stayed in Fort Stockton for the night of 10/16/14. Nothing really much there and we weren't too pleased with the campground. Again, you can't always believe what you read in books/reference guides about campgrounds until you actually go there and see them. It was just for one night, so we dealt with it.

We arrived in Junction on 10/17 we planned to stay there for 3 ...

Remembered the Alamo Then Went Camping.

... no one was there- very spooky. I eventually found the rock. Climbed it, was quite a lot harder than is anticipated. I kept thinking I was going to get blown off! It was great though, views for miles over the planes and lots of beautiful spots. Legend says that the Indians use the rock as a spiritual place...and wishing up there might just work. I did my share. On the way back I turned into the drive of a Ranch ...
