... wasn't there but it was her day off and she deserved the break. I saw Robin again who said she was going to head out to the company she applied for yesterday to see if she could talk to a manager to get an informal interview. She seemed very excited. I was waiting to see if Israel was going to show, but I never saw him. It got to get close to closing time, when a man asked me to come to his table to ask a question. He asked why there were people who were serving food ...

... leave we could barely escape without food being shoved down our throats- I believe Vee is trying to fatten us up for something, what, I don't know. Menu Item: Jack’s Best

Notes: Features one Crown Prime Beef Rib, Pork Baby Back Ribs, and Beef Burnt Ends with sides of Cheesy Corn Bake, Creamy Coleslaw, & Toast. Had a spicy sauce and a sweet sauce.

Comments: There’s no knife (or teeth for that matter) needed here! You could easily cut everything with a plastic fork if you had to. The prime beef rib was extremely tender. The entire strip fell off the bone when touched. As soon as ...

Menu Item: Ribs & Brisket Plate with Spicy Slaw

Notes: Today was one of the first days after they changed their name from Oklahoma Joe's to Joe's Kansas City

Comments: Best ribs I've ever eaten. They had a unique taste unlike anything I've ever tasted before. The dry rub on them was perfect. The meat just fell off the bone and was extremely tender. The tender, medium cut brisket had an initial smoky bite to it ...

... fried chicken, fried catfish and peach cobbler from Peachtree Buffet. Yum! After another swim we went to the KC Royals vs Detroit Tigers game. It was so different to go to a stadium where there's lots of land - tons of parking and tailgating. It was fun but another home team loss. After all that, plus the humidity and the greasy food, we were ...
