Well, today's travel was quite a bit more interesting than I had anticipated. For the first hundred miles the wind was hellacious; 30-40 MPH side winds with higher gusts. That went on for almost two hours, the longest two hours of the trip so far. I was so tense that I took an hour and a half lunch break while the wind died down.

... next. For instance, shortly after getting on the road yesterday morning I passed through the town of Kyle. Very quaint with lots of trees and hills on the horizon.
