... filter coffee. The waitress would fill the mug up as soon as she could after every few mouthfuls.

We sat at the counter in the diner, which was laminate all the way, and the decor was pretty much as it would've been when established somewhere in the late 60's early 70's…that really wasn't the point though, the pancakes were fantastic and would see us through to dinner time!

... and again there have been a lot of passengers getting on. Most seats are taken. Just looked at the map and discovered we are basically following the Connecticut River until it reaches the sea. It is actually quite difficult typing this as the train rocks along at a tremendous pace and there aren't enough stops to provide periods of stability!!! ... multi millionaire who likes his privacy. I could take some photos but am not allowed to put them on Facebook (or this blog :( ). The farm has goats, Scottish cows, and horses. There are 8 miles of riding trails which Caleb has to maintain. The houses on the property are also amazing. It was a lovely sunny still afternoon and it was a privilege to see the farm. ... of New York State and saw some snow on one of the mountains (Mt Marcy perhaps?). Home down the Interstate which was much quicker than our earlier journey. Lin's parents and brother came to dinner so we had home cooked baked beans (in maple syrup which were very yummy), cooked ham, coleslaw and then I had cooked a pavlova for dessert. Not quite my best ever pavlova but it was received well and perhaps Lin will ave to cook one again ...
