Today we visited the Vermont ski museum. I learned about two main things: Perry Merril, known as "The Man Who Put Vermont on Skis", and the 10th Mountain division, a ski unit in World War II. Perry Merrill Perry Merrill was a forester who believed in public use of public land. He was appointed State Forester in 1930. I went over a mountain called Bread Loaf today. Fitting with its name, the beginning was super steep, the middle had gentle rolling hills following a river, and the end was a nice 12% grade down. If I could imagine riding the length of a loaf of bread, that was today. It was ...

... Hiawassee. Had a 12% decline down an area-first time we have ever had to use the camper brakes. Rob and I are sitting in front of a convenience store so we can obtain wifi. He is working and me on my blog. Yesterday he spent the morning at the library for the same reason. Cell service and wifi are just not available in many of the areas we have camped at. We are well and hope you are too. We miss everyone . Life is ...
