Happy 34th Anniversary to Clarence and I today! Time certainly has flown by. We have a 2 hour drive today from Kennebunk, Maine to Bangor, Maine. $3.50 toll charge to start day on Maine Turnpike. And another $3.50. Very pretty drive today in Maine. Lots of water and scenic. Another $3.50. Cannot believe we just saw a Tim Horton's sign here in Maine. We were a little nervous since we have no real destination and no real return date but the border crossing agent was really nice, asked us lots of questions about our financial situation to make sure we weren't looking for work and let us keep most of our fruits and veggies except the oranges. ... went.  After dinner we drove back to the house to have cake and present opening time. Susan had a beautiful cake chocolate decorated with "Happy Birthday Mark!" in blue icing on a chocolate top. We all sang and Mark waited patiently to blow out the candle while Susan and I took a ton of photos. The cake was amazing - Frank's (http://www.yelp.com/biz/franks-bake-sh op-inc-bangor) definitely is the best baker in ...

... come. Birthdays can be such fun, so enjoyable knowing that this one day each year, this ONE DAY, is your special day. It goes by too quickly, as most special days do, but the feeling of being loved and remembered brings a happy warmth that lasts a long time afterwards.

For everyone else, if today is not your birthday, a Happy Unbirthday to you! Make sure to enjoy the ride, each and every day.
