Historical Traveler Reviews of Days Inn At The Stadium/Downtown Nashville

Loved The Days Inn

from A TripAdvisor Member
I travel to Nashville a lot and I have never had a problem with the hotel at all. My Room is always clean and nice and the staff makes me feel as if I am at home. It is close to downtown without having the downtown prices and it is just great.

I confirm

DON"T STAY HERE!!! We didn't encounter bugs, however, the room was filthy. The bathroom walls were falling down and dirty. The clean staff doesn't clean the rooms. The desk staff was VERY nice. KEEP DRIVING!!!

A Great Place To Stay

The rewiews in this web site are totally unfounded, we stay at this hotel everytime we come to nashville and we have never had a problem. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are the greatest staff in Nashville.

BAD BED BUGS

from A TripAdvisor Member
We are international travelers. We stayed at this hotel on 04/14/04. We had reservations made for next 15 days but we checked out on the 15th since this hotel has a serious BED BUGS Problem. My wife whole body is Red and Itchy with insect bites, the hotel is paying for our hospital bills at Vanderbilt hospital but our whole vacation is ruined running back n forth b/w hospital and out hotel. This place should be closed by the health department. Never stay here please anyone. BAD PART OF TOWN.

Don't risk your health/Waste your money here

If only I had checked this website before booking, I would never have subjected my entire family to the filth, safety hazards, and overwhelmingly reprehensible conditions of this wretched hotel. There is no question that staying here on the first night of a long-planned week-long family getaway ruined the rest of our vacation. Traveling for the first time with two young kids, this was to be our splurge hotel, and what we got for our extra money was an ear infection and impetigo from the unclean hotel pool (and who knows what other mystery illnesses yet to be diagnosed), a fee for a lousy continental breakfast that was supposedly included in the price of accommodation, a nasty concrete-covered location that is quite the opposite of what the guidebook and website described....I could go on, but you get the idea. Simply stated, this place should be shut down. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED -- DON'T GO HERE.

Keep on movin'

This hotel seemed okay until we opened the door to the room and found chunks of paint peeling off the walls, the floor in the bathroom covered in mold and decaying (probably due to the faulty faucets that sprayed water all over the bathroom) Very run down room. The only good thing about this place was they let us keep our car there during the Music City Bowl game. In the hotels defense there was a sign up about contruction and remodeling.....but in our opinion they are a little late!

Bedbug Haven!

from A TripAdvisor Member
Stayed at this place for Fan Fair 2003. Our room was INFESTED with bedbugs. One member of our party got them SO bad, his feet blistered and he then had trouble walking. He took photos and saw a doctor when he returned home. (45 bites on ONE ARM ALONE).3 months later and we are STILL trying to get our money back. The DAYS INN franchise has been giving us the runaround for weeks on end (why do they even have an 800 number when they do not help you anyway?). Needless to say, we are EXTREMELY unsatisfied customers and will continue to fight to get our money back. I strongly urge people NOT to stay at this dump.(as a sidenote which speaks to the PR skills of the desk clerk, when the vending machine ate my money, he suggested I call the 800 # on the little sticker on the machine itself, instead of recouping my loss. What an arse.)

Pleasant staff...not much else!!

Unless you have a car on the premises you are in for real trouble!! No restaurant on the premises (only a lounge that serves beverages...and a very limited breakfast); pool area closed for renovations and a workout room, very small with limited equipment and poor ventilation. Location of this hotel is in a industrial area where i would not recommend walking alone in at any time. Saw many undesirable types even during the daytime hours. The rooms are clean but definitely needs a upgrading. Cable TV was good with offering over 75 channels to help with the bordem. The one aspect of the hotel that makes it barable was the very pleasant hotel staff from the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff. Very pleasant southern hospitality.

Terrible!!!!!!!

Don't Stay There

from A TripAdvisor Member
My daughter and I stayed at this Days Inn during Fan Fair this year. It was undoubtedly the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The rooms are dirty and in serious need of renovation. There was a leak under one of the sinks that kept the carpet wet. The night we arrived, we found there was no remote control for the TV and called down to the front desk. Three days and five requests later, we finally were handed one at the front desk. The shuttle service they advertised to downtown was only running to the Coliseum (understandable because streets were closed for Fan Fair), but each day they changed their minds about when it was going to run. Worst of all, it was not running at nights after the concerts and we had to walk back. Luckily there were others also walking back, as this hotel is in a bad section (we heard it referred to several times by locals as "crack alley") and although they make a big deal about it being "3 blocks from the Coliseum," they are long, dark blocks without much traffic at night. Do not stay at this place unless it is absolutely your last choice!
