    ... we drove right onto the ferry…last car on…and our good ferry karma continued today, as again we were the last car on and within minutes pulled away from the dock. Now we are at the Southern Pines Inn at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. When I walked into the lobby to check in I noticed a familiar face on the wall.     ... 48 and 88 race teams hold court. Awesome!
    Our stay in Charlotte was gave us one day to explore, short, but fun.
    Today, we left Charlotte and traveled to Natural Bridge, Virginia, through the beginning of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Beautiful views from the road, but no time to visit, leaving tomorrow morning.
    Gotta get home!

    ... it. Overall it was a pretty anticlimactic day. Two sites, one quail, the typical suite of indigos and grosbeaks, and we were back before 10.
