... it. Overall it was a pretty anticlimactic day. Two sites, one quail, the typical suite of indigos and grosbeaks, and we were back before 10.
The fields were nothing impressive and the area in general was typical of what we have been seeing. Limited fire, monoculture, clean farming, no hedge rows, pine plantations ect, ect. It's Ironic that I mention the lack of fire. As we were ...

... lot was full, usually a good sign; we both ordered BBQ chicken and anxiously awaited our Carolina BBQ – yummy! We were surprised to receive plates of chicken covered with gravy . . . what is that all about? Well, apparently the chicken was cooked on a barbecue but then smothered in gravy.
