    ... the winding, stumpy channel.Our GPS was going crazy due to false readings generated by the water vegetation. At one point, we hit bottom due to the shallow water this time of the year. You can bet Capt. Bart had white knuckles and a few choice words to say, especially when we churned up mud at the harbor.     We finally left at 1:30 pm today. - five hours behind schedule -- so much packing! Marcia and Francisco both helped us pack and get ready. We had to give Quince a bath and pack clothes and food and supplies for six weeks of travel! And of course, take time for Travis to ride Drifter and take a tour on the Kubota.     ... in Missouri. What a coincidence!! They had retired and bought a Trawler and had been traveling for a few years already. They had been bringing their boat back upriver to wait out hurricane season for several years and were on their way south again. Boy did we have some reminiscing to do.
