... a solo homer in the bottom of the 8th, and were able to close it out in the 9th. It was an exciting game. So the Astros won their tenth straight game and completed a shutout of the Mariners.

About the third inning they announced that former president George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara were at the game. We looked down and could see them sitting in the first row of the field level, directly below us.

... horsewomen rode out to commence a procession of big wigs and sponsors around the arena - one horsewoman came off her horse as she reined in - rather embarrassing for her I imagine. The procession lasted about ten minutes and finally the show began.
