    ... when the ceremony began. It was a small and quiet ceremony hosted by an American which sounded a little odd to me. There were 4 flag polls in front on the monument and only one was used, for an American flag. I initially didn't see an Aussie flag but later found it on a small poll behind the monument.     Today we had a 5 hour bus ride from Austin to Houston leaving the Austin Greyhound bus station at 12.45. I had not planned this but luckily the bus station was only a short walk from our hotel right across the 95 highway. Check out was 11am, we were up at 9 for the free breakfast then packed our things and at 11am we checked out and walked to the bus station.
