      Terrible Service!!!

      from

Horrible service! Inconsiderate staff that is not only neglectful, but also dishonest. The room was loud and dirty as well. A definite mistake!

Huge Mistake -Should Have Read Reviews First

      from

Front Desk was unprofessional and not helpful. When I said I was here to check in the attendant said " No your not, we don't allow that around here" (in a joking manner). Also made referance about another visitor . Gave poor instructions for driving to a restaurant even when showed a map. Did not suggest the Metro which had a station one block from restaurant. Informed front desk that I was not from DC and needed advice for getting around the town. Dirty halls with strong odor. Poor parking. Unusable stairs outside in parking lot. Cheap and now I know why !

      Filth everywhere!

      from

How did this property get a 5 sunburst award from Days Inn? The room was filthy! The light was broken between the beds and I called the manager, he freferred me to the front desk and 8 hours later it was still not fixed. The telephone and alarm clock were not cleaned in months and coated with grime. The bathroom had numerous long black hairs on the floor and we both have shaved heads. The ice bucket still had water in it and was covered with mold. The floor of the room had beer bottle caps on it and pretzels and dust was every where! We called the manager to complain and he switched us to a so called suite and it was just as bad. I sent Days Inn two different emails asking for an ecplaination of why the rate this hotel with five sunbursts and they have still not answered me.

I'm the former Director of Operations for Gray Line Tours Wisconsin/Milwaukee and I rely on ratings when making group reservations. Days Inn corporate should be ashamed of themselves for giving this property a 5 out of 5 rating as it is a disgusting property.

      Stay somewhere else

      from

Stayed at hotel for two nights. The positives--Near a Metro stop, several resturants (great sub shop and Indian place near by), bank ATM's. The negitives--Small run down rooms,no maid service (we left the room early each days--before 9:00 a.m. and when we return around 5 p.m., no service), shabby feel all around.

A filthy disgusting place/ Sleeping in the car is a better option

      from

This hotel is disgustingly dirty not to mention cramped and in need of serious renovations. I have never seen such a filthy place.

The staff is very rude and they pay no attention to their personal appearance.

      Nice Hotel

      from

We found the hotel to be above average in all respects. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location is excellent. Just about a block from the Metro with a grocery store, drug store and several restaurants near by. We plan to stay there again this year.

Beyond awful - Stay here at your own risk!

      from

Stayed in this hotel in September of 2004 at the last minute, as nothing else in town was available (there were three large conferences in progress.) The staff were very nice but the hotel was horrendous.

Stay here at your own risk!!

Carpets throughout the building are gross and peeling up at the edges; walls are dirty; there was a ring around my bathtub and my travel companion actually found a blood clot in hers. The beds are not only saggy and worn, but the linens have stains and spots all over them, as do the sheets. The iron was so hot that it burnt a huge hole through my slacks.

The restaurant located next to the hotel is passable if you're starving. Considering the cleanliness of the hotel, I was incredibly skeptical about the health code rating of the restaurant. Beyond all of this, the location is not that great.

      Stay away!

      Cramped and filthy

      from

A filthy little room, cramped and noisy. From the moment you enter you are surrounded by filth, walls, floors, at least they could clean the lobby. Elevator in disrepair and making a loud noise the whole time.

Only stayed one night. They also charged an extra $10 for parking.

      A DUMP

      from

This was the worst place that we ever stayed at. The price was cheap, but you definately get what you pay for. We had 2 connecting rooms. The water hardly came out of the shower head, sink was slow, toliet barely flushed. We spend most of the night listening to people from other rooms talking, laughing and running down the hallways and yelling. My husband yelled out to them to quiet down a couple of times. In the morning I called the Doubletree Guest Suites Washington and booked the remainder of our trip there. What a difference. The suite was so large with full kitchen, bathroom, living room with fold out queen sleeper for the kids and the bedroom had two comfortable queen size beds. Warm cookies as we entered for the whole family and the best bellman ever Daniel, all for $20.00 more a day. It was like staying in a very nice condo with service. Days Inn Conn Ave wasn't a bad dream, it was a nightmare. Hotel staff was very cold and unfriendly. But they did let us checkout early without penalty.

      Tiny room

      from

Tiny rooms in this hotel but clean. View from room is a parking lot (yuk!) Only stayed here 1 night so not that bad for 58.50. Parking is 10.00 per night (unexpected)
