Spacious bedroom and bath; sufficient shelving in bath for 2 toiletry bags. Room had desk and nightstand. TV on 2-drawer unit, which may not be enough drawer space if you're unpacking and staying several days. Microwave, fridge and large TV in room. Very clean and new looking. Hotel is a sprawling complex. Pool and hot tub were nice. Free laundry for guests. Wi-Fi connection good and our room was in a far arm section from the lobby. Free breakfast is self-serve with much variety, including eggs and meat (ham one day, sausage another) and a strange 1 minute pancake machine (the pancakes weren't that great).

Originally we had booked and paid for the 11:30 ferry back to the mainland. However, again, as when coming out, we were ready early and changed our departure. The 9:30 ferry out from the island was the Grand Manan V. We were in the first row loaded and were directed to park up an angled ramp. Really, really close to each other. I was freaking out …

Last day; nothing too strenuous. Very hot, 27C and sunny. We had our free breakfast in the hotel again. Only worth mentioning because we tried out the strange little 1-Minute Pancake machine. You press "OK" button for how many pancakes you want and a little bar runs along showing you the progress of your pancake(s). They are about 7” diameter …

Beautiful hot day, sunny and 24C.

We went to Hopewell Rocks. Today low tide was at 9:52 a.m. We arrived there shortly before that. We think they may have expanded the staircase size yet again. We will have to compare pics taken today with those of 2007 and 1988. As far as that goes, the flowerpot rocks, although amazing to view, are still …

... Museum on the wharf. I also really wanted to go to the Public Garden, but I found out it was too far and too uphill for the time allotted.

We ended up at The Bicycle Thief, a clever Italian bistro. We sat outside and dined on pasta. Lovely.

We then embarked on a long ride to Moncton, which we came through on our drive from New Brunswick to Halifax the day before the trip started. I knew it was a transfer and not a ...

... One of the animals that was found there was used as evidence to support the Theory Of Evolution that was put forward by Charles Darwin. Unfortunately it was raining so we spent our time in the interpretive center and didn't go to the beach. This is definitely a place worth visiting.
